Job Title: Capital Projects & Restoration Intern
Classification: Part-time, temporary, non-exempt
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Reports to: Senior Project Manager, Capital Projects & Restoration
Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP) is looking to hire a part-time, temporary Capital Projects & Restoration Intern to assist in a variety of tasks related to the Park’s construction and ongoing maintenance. The intern will work alongside the Capital Maintenance Team on various maintenance, construction, and data management projects. They will assist in data collection and training document development for various types of existing park infrastructure. The Intern will work with the Project Manager on various administrative tasks related to ongoing and upcoming Capital improvement projects and construction management tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to ongoing project management, contract administration, and compliance;
Data entry, cleaning, and process development;
Internal file keeping;
Planning and organizing;
Assist in the organization of BBP’s project archive and work on research projects with discretion.
Qualifications:
Studying or experience in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, or related fields.
Solid writing, research acumen, and communications skills.
Ability to read design plans and use Adobe Illustrator.
Familiarity with construction project management.
